Wulfenite with Mimetite Specimen

Wulfenite is a lead molybdenum oxide mineral. Molybdenum is a silvery-white metal on the periodic table that is ductile and highly resistant to corrosion. It has one of the highest melting points of all pure elements. Wulfenite is usually orange or yellow but can be gray, brown, or greenish brown. Wulfenite helps us have a connection to the earth which manifests our creativity, determination, and sexuality. It’s a great stone for those who practice alchemy, the medieval forerunner of chemistry, based on the supposed transformation of matter. Mimetite is a rare lead arsenate chloride, which is a member of the apatite family. The name mimetite comes from “mimetes” meaning “imitator.” This name was chosen because of its similar resemblance to pyromorphite. Ironically, mimetite and pyromorphite naturally form near one another. Mimetite gives us emotional stability, inner balance, serenity, joy, and adventure. This is a great mineral combination for change and making big things happen.
