Angel Wing Calcite Specimen

Beautiful Angel Wing Calcite is a rare and fragile form of calcite from Mexico and is a polymorph of calcium carbonate which is the same material as eggshells, snail shells, seashells, and pearls. The name calcite is derived from the Latin word "calcit", meaning “lime.” It is notably present in marble and limestone formations so it has been a part of architecture throughout history. This is another “heady” stone associated with the higher chakras, and named appropriately because it aids in our communication with angels. It is said that Angel Wing Calcite connects our two hemispheres of our brain, deepening our meditation practice and bringing us into a relaxed state.
